Ladbrokes - wants a second set of notarized documents.

Ruling

Resolved - Ladbrokes were quick to respond to this complaint and if what they stated is true then they would have been completely within their rights not to pay the player. Instead they've chosen to pay the player in full.

Player's Complaint

I won 8000 pounds on Ladbrokes, they asked me for my documents, I sent them, they verified them and asked for notarized documents, I sent them all the way to Gibraltar, they verified them, and asked for a second set of verified documents. Wouldn't it be easier if I just went there? What should I do? My username is [EDIT] and you can feel free to ask me or them anything!

Hi bragakas21 - welcome to ThePOGG.com!

I'll contact Ladbrokes casino and see what I can find out for you.

I can say in advance that it's highly unlikely that I'll be able to get them to back down from this request, but I may be able to get a guarantee that if you provide verifiable documents that you will then be paid.

Thanks,

ThePOGG

Hi bragakas21,

I heard back from Ladbrokes yesterday. At the present time I believe that Ladbrokes intend to reopen your account and allow you to withdraw your funds. I've had some vague discussions with Ladbrokes about the issues with your Notarized ID - if what I've heard is true, I haven't seen the evidence, I would have supported the confiscation of funds so I would strongly suggest that you're finished at Ladbrokes and all associated properties. If you continue to play there and there is a future confiscation there will be absolutely nothing I can do to help you.

Let me know when you've received your funds.

Hi bragakas21, To answer your email - if the accusations Ladbrokes have made are true then you already know why I would support the confiscation of winnings. If they're not then the point is moot. Either way I'm not about to divulge information presented by Ladbrokes. All I'll say is if you did what Ladbrokes claim you did you're going to end yourself up in very serious trouble further down the line. ThePOGG
