Unfortunately there is nothing we can do to help you in this instance. As explained in our Complaints FAQs we do not pursue refunds of losses based on lack of license. If your own government cannot prevent unlicensed operators from accepting their citizens, there is no possibility of the operator offering a refund simply on the basis of us asking them to.

In this case I do not agree. Rembrandt Casino is stating in their own T&C that players from Netherlands are prohibited to play on their website. When registering all details are asked for (i.e. country of residence, address etc) already at that moment the system should have blocked or should have made it unable to continue let alone DEPOSIT € 2150,- by using the offered paying method IDEAL which is typically and only for Dutch consumers! They breach own T&C and that alone makes this unlawful and that has nothing to do about lack of license.

Having reviewed the Rembrandt Casino registration process I can indeed confirm that they are not restricting Dutch IP addresses and their registration form actively allows players to select 'Netherlands' as an address option. These factors do change my initially provided conclusion about this claim.

Subsequently I have contacted the operator who were initially responsive. However, once information had been provided about the nature of this complaint, the operator stopped responding.

We consider your claim valid, however at this juncture it seems reasonable to concluded that there is nothing further that we could do to uphold your claim. All I can suggest is that you contact the operator's ADR IBAS. Alternatively, if you wished to consider legal action our understanding is that GreenTableLegal.com offer a no win no fee service that specialises in the remote gambling sector.
