Overview

Barcrest are primarily know for producing offline slots games for the UK offline market and many of their games - like Rainbow Riches - are well known and frequently encountered in pubs and clubs around the country. In the online market they are not as prevalent but they have worked up around half a dozen of their more popular slots games and these are now widely available amongst the larger online sportsbook operations. The Barcrest games are a little old fashioned when compared to the output from the current market leaders like Net Entertainment and Betsoft and generally don't offer the imaginative bonus feature that are becoming more widespread. All Barcrest games that we're aware of offer a house edge very close to 5%, meaning that they are about average price wise. As Barcrest do not offer a full casino platform (i.e. there are no casinos currently using them as their primary provider), we are not going to give them as full software rating as this would be an unfair comparison to make.
United States country flag

The North American country of Canada shares a border with The United States of America and has coasts on the Atlantic, Arctic and Pacific oceans. The population of Canada is currently in the region of 37.8 million people. With regard to the gambling sector, Canada has historically existed in a grey area but in recent years there has been a move towards officially recognizing that casino gaming, slots play, horse racing, lottery play, video lottery play, charitable gaming and interactive gaming are permitted in the country’s borders. The laws in Canada with respect to gambling are complex and varied, with provinces and territories each setting their own rules. At the present time online gambling appears to exist in a grey area, where there are 'legal' province run operators, but gambling with overseas operators does not appear to be problematic.
