Paddy Power - Self Exclusion

Ruling

Found for the Player - After an initially encouraging discourse, Paddy Power have decided that they will not cooperate in the management of complaints submitted to this service.

Read our Paddy Power Casino Review.

Player's Complaint

First of all I have a gambling addiction and I unfortunately fell off the wagon this past week. I opened a account with paddy power even though I was self excluded, I spent £12,500. It took Paddy power a while to figure out that I had used a different email and then closed my account. Is there any way I can get this money back?

Thanks

Hi kershdog - welcome back!

I believe we discussed a very similar issue last year.

Where you actively look to circumvent a self-exclusion you have put in place by registering under different details, the responsibility of the operator to stop your activity is significantly diminished.

How long after you registered this account was it closed?

Thanks,

ThePOGG

I did withdraw some cash which they are still paying but when they closed my account i still had two bets in play which I could have cashed out at a high value, should they pay back them two bets? Thanks [EDIT]

Hi kershdog,

My understanding is that UKGC would expect the bets to stand. So the question is, did the bets win or lose?

Thanks,

Hi,

I cant remember what the bets were. The next day paddy power confirmed that nothing was in my account so I am guessing they lost.

Thank you

Hi kershdog, Unfortunately our dialogue with Paddy Power has broken down and they have opted not to discuss this issue with us. At this stage all I can suggest you do is contact Paddy Power's UKGC approved ADR service IBAS. Sorry we could not be of more help! ThePOGG
