Opened an account with betclic. I paid in 560 and wont around 1050.I sent all id to them and they closed my account. They said i used a shortened name which i put alex instead of alexander which is what i always do. They also said i used a fake date of birth which is a lie. Why would i send them my passport if i put in a fake one.I want my winnings and deposits paid to me. They say i wont get them.

They are not being responsive and wont show proof i provided the wrong date of birth as it is a lie.

Hi i have found out what has happened with the date of birth. I have attached screenshots of the messages i had so far.

I have typed this below.

They are not responding or paying my despoits or winnings on the account i opened.

It turns out i made a typo with my dob.

I put day month year as most british people do.

The sign up asked for month day and year and i failed to notice this.

They took £660 of deposits from me. I tried to withdraw that and my winnings of just over 1k and they have closed the account and are not giving me clear answers.

I gave them full id and it was a human error and totally unfair. I am worried i will lose my deposits as well as the winnings.

They say they have made a payment for my deposits but not for the winnings.

Will still escalate as i won my bets fairly.

Hi Redman9911,

We've discussed this issue at length with Betclic. Unfortunately we cannot support your claim.

On the 12th of August you opened an account with Expekt under your full first name and date of birth formatted dd/mm/yyyy. This was immediately closed as you have registered under these details with Gamstop.

You then went on to register an account with Betclic on the 8th of September except this time you used the shortened version of your first name and a date of birth formatted mm/dd/yyyy. This is despite the fact that the registration form using drop down fields that clearly ask for the date before the month. Because of these changes to your registration details your account was not detected automatically. However, within 24 hours the Betclic team had manually detected your account, closed it and refunded your deposits.

Where you self-exclude with a group, or sign-up with GamStop, you are entering into a contract. The gambling operators involved agree to take reasonable measures to prevent you from accessing their services. You agree not to try to get round those restriction.

With regard to this claim, your self-exclusion via GamStop would apply to Betclic. Your account was not immediately identified as you used modified details to those you had registered with Gamstop, but it was identified within a reasonable time frame afterwards and the correct actions were taken at this point to void all transactions on the account. That being the case there is no grounds to contest payment of winnings.
