Player's Complaint

Dear,

I opened my accoutn at digibet.com at 5th of Feb 2016. I still have their confirmation email with all the data.

Then I was betting for some time and then they closed their site. They were not replied on any mail that I sent to them.

Few months ago recognized that they have put their site back. I tried to login with my data, but it was saying that account is not active.

I emailed to them and they are searching for my account for more than 2 months now, despite the fact that I submitted to them exact date of opening, account number, …

They are always saying that can not find my account and that they passed my request to another department…

Can you please help me with my case.

Thank you in advance and best regards

Hi ursa80 - welcome to ThePOGG.com!

Unfortunately you have chosen to play with a group who are both negatively listed with this service and who are inconsistent in their response to player complaints submitted to us. While we will try to contact the operator on you behalf the chances of a successful mediation are low.

Thanks,

ThePOGG

Hi, thank you for your help. I think that someone gave the licence to Digibet to operate and they should protect players. Don't they act and do something. Why is then a licence needed? Regards [EDIT]

Hi ursa80,

At this juncture you are complaining years after the fact.

Digibet closed several years ago. They had run on a GGC license. The site has re-opened recently on an MGA license, but this does not mean that the same people who previously owned the site are the people currently operating it. In fact, some basic checks on the URL show that the domain was transferred to a new hosting service in January this year. That at least suggests there may have been a change of ownership.

Regardless, this is an issue that falls under the previous Gibraltian license, not the current Maltese license and that being the case it is likely to be very challenging to address given that this license no longer exists.

Thanks,

Hi ursa80,

I've managed to get hold of Digibet. Our understanding is that they are not contesting your claim. There are some delays in reinstating it with the change of platforms but these will be dealt with shortly. I will revert to you when we have more information.

Thanks,

Hi, I did not get any response from Digibet. Did you get something? Regards [EDIT]

Hi ursa80,

I've spoken to Digibet again. As there's been a change of license, processing payments under the new license that should have been processed under the old license have to be approved by the MGA. They are currently waiting on the regulator approving these payments before they can action them.

We will hold this complaint open until such time as you receive your funds.

Thanks,

ThePOGG

Hi ursa80,

Sadly we've reached a point in our discussion with Digibet where we no longer have any confidence that they are acting in good faith or actively making effort to resolve your issue. In fact quite the opposite, as the operator have now intimated that as this was the previous company that failed to pay you (and others) they cannot be help accountable for it. We do not agree with this at all - even where there has actually been a change in Ultimate Beneficial Owners, where a person/group chooses to by an operation with outstanding debts of this nature they are assuming responsibility for settling those debts.

Sorry we could not be of further help.
