Slots.lv - Refund

Ruling

Found for the Casino - While we sympathise with the player's situation, if one of their family has used their card without permission they need to resolve this issue with the responsible individual or file a claim with their card provider/the relevant legal authorities.

Hi sharon4284 - welcome to ThePOGG.com!

I'm going to need you to provide more information before we can do anything to help you. You appear to have an account with Slots.lv? If so you're saying that they've taken money that you didn't initiate by depositing to your account? Were there other deposits made to your account around this time? If so for how much? Are the contested funds still in your player account?

Thanks,

ThePOGG

Somebody, I don't know for sure in my house got access to my personal information and made the account and used my debit card. I can't get customer service to listen and understand that I did not create the account. They just continue saying it's my responsibility, it was not my wife either. Possibly an adult child I just don't know. We are are both on disability and can't afford to loose that money. It's about $900. Charges are made to China. I don't even understand it. My wife is on oxygen 24/7 and I just had heart surgery. Both of us are in failed health. I told them I was going to bank and ask for chargeback if they won't do the right thing. They said they didn't care. We are devastated. The only thing I'm guilty of is leaving my wallet laying around. We spend lot of time in bed

Hi sharon4284,

Unfortunately if the card has been used by you or someone you know there's nothing we can do to help in this instance. While I sympathise with your situation, every player could free roll operators by simply claiming that their card was used without their permission by someone in their household when they lost while expecting to be paid winnings. The entire system would become unworkable.

If your card has been used without your permission then you need to report this to the card provider. However, given the situation you should be aware that the card provide may well look to involve the police and reclaim the unauthorized transactions from the individual responsible for them. Technically, if someone's used your card without your permission they've committed an act of fraud, so you may want to consider this possibility before going down this road.

I'm sorry we can't be of more help,

ThePOGG

I understand. I simply don't know who it was. Your reply said they don't accept USA. Then why isn't that alone enough to recover funds. They dam sure accepted my USA information and the account was allowed to be open

Hi sharon4284, I appreciate your frustration but the operator has done nothing wrong here. Slots.lv accept US players. Simply put either: a) someone you don't know has used your card details in which case your card provider need to be alerted immediately, your card needs to be locked and an investigation needs to occur to allow for the recovery of your funds under the protection that your card provider gives you. or b) Someone you know used your card in which case you need to go through the same process as above or deal with the matter directly with the person in question to avoid criminal prosecution. Either way a crime has been committed and the operator is not responsible for that. Thanks, ThePOGG
